Introducing My Work

My work reflects the feel of the earth, its strength and beauty in the juxtaposion of glazed and unglazed surfaces.

This blog is my way of getting my feet wet in advertising my talents and capabilities. I'm basically a very shy person, afraid to put myself out there for everyone to see.

Realizing this shortcoming in my third year as a Graphic Design student at Pratt Institute, New York, I switched to Art Education. This required I take one more semester than the standard eight, and to fill in some empty time and space, I took a ceramics course. I immediately realized I had just wasted four precious years in two dimensional art. I had found my true love in the feel of clay under my hands, sculpting and molding it into something I could not only see, but touch, and even use. I think I found the usefulness most intriguing.

Life interjected itself in the form of a family and three children on Martha's Vineyard. My passion for my kids outweighed that of clay, and for the next 20 years I molded minds and bodies instead.

Now I'm back. Oh boy.
